I lead teams and collaborate on applications, platforms, and large scale distributed services.

Formally, I'm a tech and data enthusiast focusing on Linux, large scale distributed systems, and open‑source software. I have 10 years of experience leading teams of 3–10 IC's on projects in e‑commerce, compliance, and cybersecurity.
At home, I use recycled servers and Linode to self‑host apps like Home Assistant, Nextcloud, and FreeIPA.

I'm most passionate about computer security, machine learning, and open source computing. I’ve worked on projects in Bash, C#, C++, Go, Java, JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, Ruby on Rails, TI‑Basic, and Unity.

Interests

Outside work, I'm passionate about cycling, conservation, and photography. I pursue all three at once as a citizen scientist submitting hudreds of observations to inaturalist.org each year, across more than 150 species of insects, plants and fungi. In particular, I document ectomycorrhizal networks between trees and fungi, supporting my city's arborists by collecting data on mushrooms that can be parasites or symbionts of trees.
